About The Position

Watson Custom Tanks is growing and looking for a Field Service Welder who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers. With over 100 years of combined experience in custom tank manufacturing, our team is known for delivering innovative, high-quality solutions—and we need someone who can represent that standard in the field. This role involves providing on-site technical support and customer service, installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment at customer locations, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and performance issues, performing field testing, creating service reports, and collaborating with internal teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of manufacturing or technical experience
• Ability to travel 60–75% (multi-day trips, short notice)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Experience with preventative maintenance practices
• Knowledge of overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools
• Welding experience (MIG/TIG, stainless preferred)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in active industrial environments
• Stand, walk, crouch, and work with hands for extended periods
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support and customer service

• Perform field testing to ensure proper operation
• Create detailed service reports and recommendations
