About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Field Service Technician. This on-site position that is based out of our Delta, BC Eaton location and requires local travel to customer sites. The individual will be responsible for servicing uninterruptible power supplies and batteries and other company electronic-based products in a high voltage environment at the customer’s site. Requirements

  • College degree/diploma from an accredited institution in any of the following disciplines: Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Technology OR Red Seal (309A) Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician Certification/Ticket
  • One (1) year of experience with UPS (uninterruptible power supplies) OR battery technologies OR electronics
  • Candidates must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
  • Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
  • Required to travel to US for product and safety training when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of UPS rectifier or inverter
  • Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems and schemes

Responsibilities

  • Performs emergency and preventive maintenance and installation on a 24/7 on-call basis with regional responsibility.
  • Responsible for performing on-site or in-house servicing and repair of company products.
  • Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
  • Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.
