About The Position

Imperial Supplies, a Grainger Company, is a national distributor of quality maintenance products serving the fleet maintenance industry since 1958. They are looking for passionate people to join their team as a Field Service Technician. This role involves traveling across the country to help customers organize and optimize their maintenance shops, creating safer and more efficient workspaces. The position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, enjoy hands-on work, and thrive in a role where no two days are alike.

Requirements

• Comfortable with frequent overnight travel (up to 90% during scheduled work weeks).
• Mechanically inclined and enjoys hands-on work.
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in active shop environments.
• A valid driver's license.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).

Nice To Haves

• Previous Field Service experience is not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Installing and organizing inventory systems, shelving, and steel bin setups.
• Identifying, labeling, stocking, and optimizing maintenance products for improved workflow.
• Training customers on ordering technology, including scanners, mobile apps, and web tools.
• Traveling Monday through Friday to customer locations throughout the United States while building strong customer relationships.
