Requirements

Strong mechanical or electrical background.
Strong diagnostic skills.
Safety champion attributes, capable of working alone and stopping work if required.
Excellent troubleshooting ability with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience maintaining and fault finding on Sandvik equipment.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
Must conform to ISO standards.
Must deliver high-quality work aligned to OEM standards.
Technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields or equivalent years of professional field/technical experience.
A minimum of 5 years industry-related experience.
Mining equipment experience.
Technical experience to include diesel and electrical experience.
Success in team environments, with excellent communication skills.
Previous success in self-motivated roles.
Previous success in customer satisfaction.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret equipment schematics.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and/or electrical aspects of underground drilling, load & haul trucks, and mining equipment and components at high profile mining sites.
Perform new equipment commissioning and training at customer sites with minimal supervision.
Responsible for standard maintenance, faultfinding, repairing, inspecting, and commissioning service projects, taking customer and Sandvik framework and requirements into account.
Perform maintenance and servicing of equipment, including high-level technical troubleshooting and repair.
Plan for correct tools and parts required to perform tasks, according to all work procedures.
Commission new products, including pre-delivery inspections and hot (operational and at customer site) commissioning.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and solve common problems as first-line support.
Identify components, understand basic functionality, and conduct maintenance and repair work accordingly, including preventive and cost-efficient repairs.
Complete maintenance reports for internal and external stakeholders, documenting maintenance and/or repairs completed.
Obtain customer authorization to invoice.
Occasionally collect technical feedback in the Sales Area and input it into a database.
Perform in-depth adjustments and fine-tuning of underground equipment.
Coach customer technicians on basic servicing and maintenance principles.
Ensure all routine work procedures are carried out according to safety standards.
Work underground and on the surface.
Spend approximately 50% of time traveling.
