The Field Service Technician contributes to the success of installing and providing care for on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk medical or industrial gas systems in a safe and operationally effective manner, aligned with all federal, state/provincial and local codes, and Airgas policies. This role involves collaborating on the installation and care of nitrogen on-site generation equipment, supporting cryogenic bulk installations at Airgas facilities and customer sites, and restoring and optimizing pressure reduction equipment associated with bulk delivery systems. The technician will also evaluate and perform general improvements to electrical systems associated with N2 generation and cryogenic installations, including motor controls and relays, and low pressure, high pressure, and liquid level alarm systems. Additionally, the role includes coordinating the placement of safety decals and warning signs, performing installation of piping systems, conducting site surveys for code compliance, and fostering the security of installations. Periodic preventative maintenance on N2 generation equipment and annual evaluations of bulk installation sites are key responsibilities, alongside championing safety policies and procedures. Maintaining an appropriate stock of recommended parts and supporting the team in other areas as needed are also part of the role.
