The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing and commissioning vertical storage solutions at customer sites. This role requires technical expertise, customer service skills, and problem-solving abilities to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • Experience with storage systems or industrial machinery is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended durations of time
  • Willingness to travel (up to 85%) to customer sites as needed and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Prior Forklift and Aerial lift certification preferred but not required
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel and Adobe PDF
  • Understanding and use of computer/tablet for digital documentation, schematics and videos
  • Must live within 75 kms of a major international airport
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and passport and have the ability to travel throughout Canada and the U.S.
  • Must be willing to travel on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission Vidir vertical storage solutions at customer sites according to project specifications and timelines.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to assess installation requirements and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
  • Assemble and configure storage units, shelves, trays, and other components by reviewing assembly manuals and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with our Support team, engineers, and customers to resolve any technical issues or discrepancies during installation.
  • Commission and test equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Provide comprehensive training to customers on the operation, maintenance, and safety procedures of installed systems.
  • Document installation processes, equipment configurations, and customer interactions accurately and thoroughly.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards always.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts required for installations.
