Fire & Life Service Technician
About The Position
As Canada's trusted safety partner since 1935, we work alongside customers coast to coast to help ensure people return home safely at the end of every shift. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. Join our team as a Field Service Technician and help keep businesses, workers, and facilities safe. You'll service and maintain critical fire and life safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc. across the GTA and Hamilton Area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, technical service experience, or a trades background who wants to build a career in the fire and life safety industry.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and experience in a service, maintenance, technical, or hands-on role
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with tools, equipment, or mechanical systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using mobile devices and technology in the field
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol, criminal background, and ongoing compliance screening
Nice To Haves
- Fire protection, safety equipment, industrial maintenance is considered an asset but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and maintain fire and life safety equipment at customer sites and in our Oakville facility
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs
- Complete inspections, testing, commissioning, and service documentation
- Educate customers on equipment operation and safety best practices
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure timely service delivery
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Benefits
- Salary: $54,000 - $58,000 per year based on skills, experience and internal equity
