About The Position

PVA is hiring a Field Service Technician to join our growing team in robotic automation. If you’re ready to take the next step in your field service career, we would love to connect! The Field Service Technician provides technical service for the systems and products sold by PVA. This position helps customers maximize value of products from pre shipment through end of life. The ideal candidate for this role will have mechanical aptitude with excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. This position requires heavy travel, relocation not necessary, however preferred locations include Nashville,TN or Northern California (San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento and surrounding areas). Job Details: Remote role with heavy domestic travel. Starting pay $26.00 - $36.00 per hour depending on experience. This position requires an onsite training period at the start of employment in Upstate New York, duration is dependent on existing knowledge level.

Responsibilities

  • Provides onsite support and installations at customer locations.
  • Solves problems, diagnoses and resolves issues to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Answers direct questions and resolves issues from customers.
  • Manages and updates individual service tickets throughout the day to identify any urgent customer needs.
  • Ensures equipment is working properly on customer site to meet customer expectations.
  • Assists customers with process improvement and optimization.
  • Discerns whether issues are warranty related or at the customer’s expense.
  • Fosters strong customer relationships through onsite visit, and after shipment service and installations as required.
  • Provides feedback regarding manual updates to ensure they are up to date and relevant to customer needs.
  • Leads, assists and supports team members when performing runoff, installation, rework installation, or onsite service.
  • Shares information learned from customer within department.
  • Maintains expert level technical knowledge of PVA product line.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information, 100% of the time.
