About The Position

ESS Service Technicians perform commission work on the ESS according to established processes. Technicians are assigned to a field location where they modify and repair mechanical and electrical processes of the ESS, conduct commission work, and follow documentation pertaining to their assigned station within their department. This role involves assembling each stage of the ESS, providing service and customer support during field visits, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing equipment. Technicians will diagnose errors and communicate with customers and teams to determine appropriate solutions. They will read schematics, use measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools for installations based on engineering documentation. Responsibilities also include drilling and handling materials like fiberglass, plastics, composites, and aluminum, installing and removing fasteners, and occasionally applying adhesives and sealants. The role includes installing and repairing cooling systems, demonstrating attention to detail, required skills, and the ability to gather and analyze information skillfully. Technicians will communicate changes and progress, balance team and individual responsibilities, adapt to work environment changes, follow instructions, and respond to management direction. They must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, display willingness to make decisions, and uphold organizational values. Proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures are mandatory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Perform commission work on the ESS according to processes.
  • Modify and repair mechanical and electrical processes of the ESS.
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits.
  • Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service equipment.
  • Diagnose errors and communicate with customer and team to determine appropriate solution.
  • Read schematics.
  • Use measuring tape, levels, squares for installations based on Engineering documentation.
  • Use standard hand tools where applicable.
  • Use power tools such as electric and pneumatic tools where applicable.
  • Use multiple meters.
  • Drill and handle materials such as fiberglass, plastics, composites and aluminum.
  • Install and remove fasteners such as nuts, bolts and rivets.
  • Occasionally apply adhesives and sealants to ESS processes.
  • Install and repair of cooling system.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate required skills.
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Communicate changes and progress.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Follow instructions, respond to management direction.
