Requirements

  • 2+ years in field service, industrial maintenance, automotive repair, HVAC, pumps, or a related technical role (military experience a plus!).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, using diagnostic tools, and reading technical schematics, as well as working with control systems such as PLCs, VFDs, Ignition, and Panel View, to name a few.
  • Strong communication skills and a knack for teaching others, with a commitment to exceptional service.
  • Thrives in dynamic settings, comfortable working independently, and open to travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license and passport (for travel to Canada).
  • Ability to properly and safely operate all machines marketed and serviced by the company.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in industrial systems, water or wastewater experience, or related fields.
  • Experience with VFDs of various brands, Allen-Bradley software, Ignition software, or electrical certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, routine maintenance, and repairs of industrial equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
  • Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and controls system issues, delivering smooth operations with timely solutions.
  • When not in the field, work hand-in-hand with the assembly crew on production needs and partner with the engineering team on testing procedures for outgoing products and R&D projects in the Test Cell.
  • Process, fulfill, and respond to customer requests for replacement components in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Provide hands-on training to clients and end-users on equipment operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting, building their confidence and competence.
  • Complete detailed service reports for every job and collaborate with engineering and production teams on improvements, updates, and retrofits, ensuring accurate records that support compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Travel to customer sites across the USA and Canada (up to 50% travel), representing Inovair with professionalism and expertise.
