About The Position

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner. Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products. Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system. Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments. Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Office knowledge is required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints required. Mechanical / Welding experience 2 years required, 3-5 years preferred). Hydraulic / Pneumatic troubleshooting experience 2 years required, 3-5 years preferred). Basic electronics knowledge required. Knowledge of oil and gas field components preferred. JOB REQUIREMENTS Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.  Must be able to pass DOT driving background check and physical – must be capable of achieving NOV driver status for vehicles over 10,001 lbs. Must be able to pass “SMAW, 3G and 4G weld test prior to employment Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (2-3 weeks) On-call as needed. Employee provides basic tools. Work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 100 feet. Work in limited spaces. Requires standing 95% of the workday. Must be able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects and tools. Requires repetitive movements. Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Requires lifting of up to 50 lbs. Requires pushing and pulling objects.
