We are looking for a Field Service Technician working from Calgary, AB from Canada to support our Network Team. The XB Field Service Technician located in Calgary, AB is responsible for the hands-on day-to-day installation, repair and maintenance of the Xplore fixed wireless network. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who works well both independently and as part of a greater team. This position acts as a key installation resource and technical contact for support groups in network repair, maintenance, and support. This role requires basic knowledge of IP Networking, intermediate knowledge of fixed wireless network deployments as well as a basic knowledge of construction and tower rigging. This position reports to the National Field Operations Manager and involves on-call support and off-hours maintenance work.

Requirements

  • Candidate should possess one year diploma preferably in IT
  • The ability to effectively problem-solve
  • Must be able to Multitask
  • Ability to interact and effectively communicate at various levels within the organization
  • Organizational skills
  • Functions well in a team environment
  • Has a broad knowledge of business processes required for warehouse management
  • Familiarity with wired and wireless network equipment
  • A relevant Diploma/Degree or a combination of practical work experience and education.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous telecom experience is considered an asset.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Enterprise Customer Installations, Enterprise Customer Circuit Maintenance and Repair, managing Enterprise Projects, and conducting Site Surveys.
  • Close supervision over a group of employees: assigning tasks and duties, giving specific instruction, and directing work schedules.
  • Responsible for determining when to escalate issues, effectively handling outage scenarios, and prioritizing tasks to ensure smooth operations.
