Requirements

One or more years of experience installing and/or servicing commercial and industrial overhead doors and docks.
Be a master of hand and power tools, showcasing your knowledge in this area.
Possess mechanical aptitude that enables you to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges.
Be a team player who can also work independently.
Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.
Have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Be capable of regularly lifting anywhere between 50-100 lbs.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as product manuals, installation guides, instruction books, safety information, drawings, prints, schematics, diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
Ability to write accurate, complete, and neat job notes, service tickets, work summaries, and other records and documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, third-party experts, and co-workers.
Strong basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals) and ability to effectively read and utilize a tape measure.
Ability to think methodically and apply a logical step-by-step approach to work.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with many different variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Closed-toed shoes required.
Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes required when working in the warehouse or field.

Responsibilities

Installing and servicing overhead doors, docks, dock levelers, springs, cables, and other essential hardware.
Setting up and maintaining various commercial and industrial specialty doors, equipment, and accessories.
Ensuring quality by meticulously checking for proper installation, clearance, and balance.
Delivering unparalleled customer service and responding to customer inquiries honestly and pleasantly.
