About The Position

Responsible for completing interior finishing work, troubleshooting issues, and performing warranty and service repairs on manufactured homes. Ensures homes meet Cavco quality standards and customer expectations by installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing components. Works directly with customers to resolve concerns, explain product features, and provide timely service support while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school graduate with some college education preferred.
  • 2–4 years of previous relevant experience in manufactured housing, construction, service, or related field.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills and professional history.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with internal teams and external customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must maintain a clean and insurable driving record according to company insurance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Installed interior trim, doors, cabinets, countertops, fixtures, lighting, switches, and outlets.
  • Performed inspections to ensure homes met company specifications and quality standards.
  • Diagnosed and repaired electrical, mechanical, and appliance-related issues.
  • Read and interpreted work orders, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Tested wiring, switches, relays, and other electrical components using diagnostic equipment.
  • Replaced faulty components and completed repairs using hand and power tools.
  • Performed preventative maintenance and warranty-related service work.
  • Conducted final quality-control inspections and corrected deficiencies.
  • Joined sections of multi-section manufactured homes and completed finishing alignment work.
  • Performed leveling and anchoring of homes to ensure proper placement and stability.
  • Connected utilities including electrical, water, and related service hookups.
  • Completed remaining trim work at the marriage line where home sections meet.
  • Installed skirting, steps, and other exterior finishing components.
  • Communicated with customers to identify concerns and explain repair procedures.
  • Maintained accurate service records and completed work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Assisted with customer training and product operation when needed.
  • Worked independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • May be on-call and perform emergency repairs during off-business hours.
  • Traveled to customer locations to perform service calls and resolve issues.
