We are searching for highly motivated, mechanically inclined individuals to join our growing Field Service team. In this position, you will play a direct role in completing planned and reactive service operations on our generators. In this position, you will play a key role in maintaining system uptime, availability, and performance for deployed units on customer sites in a specific region. You will train at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, and be assigned to a particular service region requiring travel.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair.
  • Experience with precision measuring, down to .001”, using micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks, etc. Also, familiarity with torque wrenches and documentation of repairs performed
  • Candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift to 50 lbs., and wear required PPE
  • Must have knowledge of how to use and maintain basic tools, such as torque wrenches and torque specifications
  • Must have experience with following written and verbal work instructions while on-site
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proven track record for the ability to work well with others as part of a dynamic team
  • Ability to learn quickly, is self-motivated and safety oriented
  • Valid Driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automotive, aviation, and/or heavy equipment (i.e. HVAC, elevators/lifts, or industrial equipment) assembly a plus
  • software knowledge of Google Workspace is a plus
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred

Responsibilities

  • Mechanically repair and/or perform maintenance on components and assemblies that make up our generators in accordance with procedures and build checklists in order to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components and assemblies
  • Conduct mechanical inspections of deployed units, documenting condition information for use by our team for debugging or troubleshooting
  • Be available to work rotational on-call shifts, as per the written schedule, to provide optimal service and support for our customers
