We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused Field Service Technician to support operations at a complex industrial water and wastewater treatment facility under a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model. This role is critical to ensuring reliable, continuous plant performance, equipment uptime, and compliance with all safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, industrial experience, and a proactive, self-directed mindset. This individual will work as part of a high-performing team while also taking ownership of daily responsibilities in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working on industrial equipment
  • Experience in an industrial environment (chemical plant, oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, or water treatment)
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues independently
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills across shifts and functions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (data entry, reporting systems; SCADA/HMI experience preferred)
  • Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain DOT medical card
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain CDL Class A or B with applicable endorsements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in water or wastewater treatment operations
  • Prior experience in continuous/process plant operations
  • Technical degree, trade certification, or relevant post-secondary training
  • Wastewater operator license or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor industrial water and wastewater treatment systems to ensure consistent production and quality
  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, chemical feed systems, and other mechanical equipment
  • Identify and respond to process upsets, alarms, and abnormal operating conditions in real time
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and operational data for compliance and performance tracking
  • Assist with equipment repairs, system optimization, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Follow all site-specific safety procedures, including LOTO, confined space, and chemical handling protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and site leadership
  • Take ownership of company property and support a strong safety culture
