About The Position

BW Packaging is hiring a full-time, non-exempt Field Service Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and support packaging equipment at customer sites. The role is based in the Northeast and may be deployed regionally, on large systems installations, or in a hybrid plant-and-field capacity. Travel can reach 80% across North America and internationally, with regional assignments prioritized where possible and occasional short-notice travel, weekend work, and multi-week stays. Technicians bring new and upgraded packaging lines online, diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls issues, and help customers achieve equipment speed and quality targets. They train customer operators and maintenance teams, support trials and maintenance work, document service findings, and act as technical advisors to improve equipment reliability and performance. Senior technicians also lead complex commissioning and acceptance tests, direct site teams, and mentor newer technicians. The position offers a starting rate of $35–$45 per hour depending on experience and location, guaranteed pay for 40 hours each week, and overtime. BW provides paid training, PPE and safety equipment, a laptop and mobile phone, annual tool reimbursement, and travel and per diem support while on assignment. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, a 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, company-paid life and disability insurance, paid parental leave, and wellness and mental health resources.
