Requirements

  • General knowledge of the fitness industry
  • Ability to explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language.
  • Ability to ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson.
  • Proficient in the Adobe Suite to include InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Skilled in Solidworks and Composer.
  • Ability to be detail-oriented in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment with the ability to work on and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Have professional phone etiquette, and maintain professional attitude and communication towards internal and external customers
  • Service Technicians are required to provide basic hand tools.
  • Subject to each state’s regulations.

  • Experience with Technical Writing in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Minimum 2 years related technical writing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

  • Writes a variety of technical reports, manuals and customer service bulletins for documentation for a wide range of uses
  • Responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production and release of finished documents following final approval.
  • Meet cross-functionally throughout the organization to establish technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for input and approval.
  • Study drawings, specifications, mockups, product samples and prototypes.
  • Source subject matter information from the support site.
  • Use Composer to prepare drawings as needed and assist in the development of communication surrounding product changes
  • Ensure project metrics and foundation templates are maintained and up to date.
  • Communicate deliverables with clear due dates and escalate as needed.
  • Shoot video as required of products for installation and/or preventative maintenance.
  • Adjust copy as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling.
  • Participate in the Change Management process both for engineering changes and for quality issues.
  • Subject Matter Expert in assigned product lines, learning the product from top to bottom.
  • Be an active member of NPI product launches.
  • Develop curriculum and deliver training classes as required.
  • Responsible for Warranty BOM development, creation of service drawings, manuals, and all technical documentation as it relates to New Product Development within the given portfolio.
  • Provide spares forecasting for NPI spares to planning.
  • Review and update spares pricing per approved process.

Responsibilities

  • Accepts, schedules, and completes work orders within 48 hours.
  • Ensure all service calls are documented (start to completion) and Service Reports are properly completed and submitted in accordance with established procedures.
  • Follow testing procedures accurately.
  • Service and maintain Core Health & Fitness product lines at customer locations in assigned service area; ensure service calls and repairs are carried out following company policies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality and courteous support in a timely manner.
  • Communicates information regarding product performance and relays field feedback to Director of Services.
  • Inspect newly installed equipment on site where necessary.
  • Maintain vehicle inventory/parts through regular cycle counts, daily paperwork processing required.
  • Process return parts with proper documentation and use precautionary procedures to safeguard company parts and equipment.
  • Must attend all required trainings, become proficient with computer software used for workday, and pass certifications on all relevant equipment.
  • Ability to schedule and have regular maintenance performed with contracted service provider.
  • Ability to submit expense reports and other required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Staff are expected to always act in a safe manner and ensure that those around them do not put themselves or others at risk.
  • Staff are expected to wear/use protective equipment when needed or as required at each site.
  • Offer Core Health and Fitness Preventative Maintenance, Paid Service and Extended Warranty Product to customer throughout day-to-day activity.
  • Refer customers who have questions about new products to your sales team
  • Keep Sales informed of upcoming purchases or needs customers are planning.
