Specific to Canada Tadano America Corporation located in Leduc, AB is recruiting a certified Red Seal Journeyman Field Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and safety- oriented mechanic for this position. Responsibilities: • Warranty, maintenance, repair, service and inspection of rough-terrain, all-terrain, tele- crawler and lattice boom crawler crane equipment • Able to diagnose faults and malfunctions • Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites • Test the repaired equipment for proper performance • Maintain a safe and clean work environment • Able to travel and work in remote locations (60%) • Must be able to work with minimal supervision but also participate in the work of other mechanics and apprentices within the field environment • Provides technical direction guidance and support to customers/dealers for service orders and crane issues via phones/emails • Prepares technical repair instructions in collaboration with experts in Tadano America and other Tadano companies • May perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization Skills & Qualifications • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification including Red Seal Certification • 3-5 years of crane related experience • Previous experience working with the Tadano product would be a benefit • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals relating to manufacturer specifications and warranty environments • Must have a demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical systems • Experience in a customer-facing role and a sound understanding of the importance of customer relationships • Good organizational and planning skills • Strong attention to detail and able to work within the framework of multiple deadlines • Hold a strong standard for quality and safety • Have a team-oriented approach and thought process • May be required to travel to various and sometimes remote job locations for extended periods of time • Valid Class 5 Driver's License • Clean driver’s abstract and maintain a clean driving record • Occasional international travel for training and for product support Company Offers: • Competitive compensation • Comprehensive benefits package • RRSP matching program • Outstanding work environment Who we are: Tadano America Corporation (TAC) is the strategic base for sales of rough terrain cranes, all terrain cranes, crawler cranes, tele boom crawler cranes and boom trucks for the North American market.
