About The Position

This role supports customers with Amada Press Brakes, including installation, service, and various training aspects such as operational, networking, programming, software, application, and bending automation. The technician will also perform similar functions for Punch Press, Shears, general fabricating machines, and automated material loading/unloading machines.

Requirements

  • Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
  • Ability to precisely follow layout drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Excellent customer relations and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites.
  • Operation, applications, software, and part programming capabilities.
  • Use of Amada applications software.
  • Regular travel within assigned territories.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter and Oscilloscope.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Accountable and responsible to service and support a customer through all aspects of the customer’s ownership of the machine.
  • Routine travel within assigned territories with occasional over night stays.

Nice To Haves

  • A 4 yr degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2 yr degree with related work experience.
  • Ability to communicate in the Spanish language.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
  • Install equipment by precisely following layout drawings and blueprints.
  • Complete daily status (service) reports and weekly expense reports.
  • Communicate effectively in English with customers.
  • Manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites, involving hand tools, climbing, bending, and stooping.
  • Provide training on operation, applications, software, and part programming.
  • Utilize Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
  • Perform regular travel within assigned territories.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
