About The Position

The Water Transfer Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of water transfer systems, including poly pipe, lay flat hose, and underground pipelines, to move water from source locations to frac sites. This role involves physically demanding work performed outdoors in various weather conditions and requires adherence to safety protocols. This job description is not all Inclusive. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to wear and properly use PPE throughout the shift.
  • Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Team-oriented and dependable
  • Familiarity with machinery and tools, including operation and maintenance
  • Basic understanding of hazardous material handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically able to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs. individually as needed.
  • Safety Focus: Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Energy industry experience is a plus
  • Previous experience in a safety-sensitive role is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out and retrieve poly line and lay flat hose
  • Operate transfer pumps and essential water transfer equipment
  • Operate skid steers and assist with hose deployment
  • Load and unload pipe, equipment, and materials safely
  • Monitor equipment operations and make necessary adjustments
  • Set and service pumps and generators on-site
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Assist in containment efforts and spill cleanup
  • Communicate effectively with team members via signals, radios, or phones
  • Use standard hand and power tools (e.g., drills, wrenches, hoists)
  • Drive trucks and vehicles for equipment and personnel transport
  • Attend and complete safety, DOT, and OSHA-related training
  • Other duties as assigned.
