About The Position

The Field Service Technician (NETA 2) performs basic electrical inspections, tests, and measurements, and is responsible for data collection. The role includes setting up and removing test equipment, conducting basic acceptance and maintenance testing, and cleaning. The technician is knowledgeable about hazardous electrical energy procedures and requires limited supervision. This role can co-lead projects and team members and share responsibilities with lead technicians for project success from start to finish, including final report to client.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory background/MVR check.
  • Pass a pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and/or random drug test.
  • Reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Interpersonal and social skills; strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited 2-year technical college or trade school preferred.
  • NETA certification level 2 preferred.
  • OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED, Power DB training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform acceptance and maintenance electrical testing under limited supervision.
  • Test for de-energized locked out/tagged out equipment.
  • Collect and record test data accurately.
  • Assist in setting up and removing test equipment for various testing activities.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of test equipment and work areas.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are kept in good condition.
  • Write detailed reports on test results and findings.
  • Ensure reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Perform basic electrical measurements under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Record and report measurement data accurately.
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the organization's goals and adapt to evolving business needs.
