About The Position

This role is responsible for the installation and servicing of laser equipment at customer sites. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems, as well as networks. They will follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation, manage the entire installation process, and provide customer training on equipment operation, applications, software, and part programming. The position requires regular travel within assigned territories and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

Ability to communicate in the English language.
Excellent customer relations and follow through.
Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter and Oscilloscope.
Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Accountable and responsible to service and support a customer through all aspects of the customer’s ownership of the machine.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

A 4 yr degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2 yr degree with related work experience.
Ability to communicate in the Spanish language.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems, as well as networks.
Precisely follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
Complete status (service) reports daily and expense reports weekly.
Manage the total equipment installation process at Customer site.
Operate, train customers on, and program Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
Provide customer training on equipment operation, applications, software, and part programming.
Perform regular travel within assigned territories.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
