About The Position

The Field Service Technician IV is a highly experienced professional who provides top-tier technical support, maintenance, and repair services for advanced systems. This role requires exceptional diagnostic skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex field projects independently. The technician will also be responsible for developing comprehensive training programs and leading technical teams. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Requirements

  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
  • Advanced experience in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications
  • Current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience with FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
  • Prior experience with Security+, Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+.
  • Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and/or Pilot Static equipment gauges.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Experience in leading and managing technical teams or large-scale projects.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Execute top-tier maintenance and repair tasks on advanced aerospace and defense systems.

  • Advanced experience in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.

  • Independently manage and oversee complex field service projects.
  • Diagnose and resolve the most complex and challenging technical issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to the entire field service team.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain precise and detailed records of all field activities and equipment status.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Oversee and optimize inventory management for spare parts and tools.
  • Produce and present detailed technical reports and insights to senior management.
  • Travel extensively to customer locations, including international sites.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
