About The Position

BorgWarner is expanding into the high-growth data center market, providing advanced power generation systems for AI-driven data centers and microgrid applications. This new hub will be at the heart of BorgWarner’s latest growth initiative, bringing together engineering, innovation, and technology in one dynamic space. The position will be responsible for diagnosing & repairing, commissioning and performing maintenance on the customer’s equipment, including troubleshooting with high voltages and high power. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Five years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
  • Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
  • Able to work productively in a pressurize environment
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in the power generation industry preferred.
  • Completion of technical training or Associates Degree with 4 or more years’ experience in servicing engines, generators or other power systems

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintenance and commissioning on designated equipment that operate at high power and voltage levels.
  • Order and manage repair parts
  • Maintain tools and test equipment to ensure they are properly calibrated.
  • Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner
  • Maintain metrics in specified area and drive for adherence to goals.
  • Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service issues.
  • Transport material as required using proper handling methods.
  • Keep work area in orderly condition with respect to proper materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings. (Includes cleaning of equipment, floors, tables, etc.)
  • Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies. Familiarity with arc flash safety, etc.
  • Ability to use scopes, multi-meters and computer diagnostics required.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Attendance on the job is essential.
