About The Position

As a Field Service Technician III, you will provide reactor services field services at remote operating nuclear power plants and service center operations, utilizing high technology service equipment and in a manner reflecting Westinghouse's commitment to the highest level of quality. You will serve as a lead in the performance and coordination of daily activities. You will report to the Manager of BWR Resources and will be based out of our Chattanooga, TN facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent required
  • 6+ years of applicable experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Ability to travel 50% or more
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Unescorted Access clearance at customer sites

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, maintain and troubleshoot reactor services field service equipment at customer sites, using but not limited to cleaning processes, NDE technology, robotic systems and computer networks.
  • Serve as technical advisor as required.
  • Perform Service Center support functions including but not limited to service equipment maintenance and check out, equipment and facility decontamination, equipment packing and unpacking, shipment preparations, material handling and calibration activities.
  • Write and/or revise operational and maintenance procedures.
  • Provide support to product engineering and training by performing activities such as equipment modifications, equipment setup and testing, mock-up preparation, process testing, and equipment and process qualifications.
  • Accurately document equipment performance issues during field implementation, recommend options to the responsible system engineer, and ensure corrective actions are complete prior to next scheduled use.
  • Participate in performance-based training programs to maintain certifications as well as keep current with technology and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs, and conduct training classes.
  • Perform a lead role in activities, ensuring that they are completed with a high degree of quality and within the parameters of qualified procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate team-oriented mindset in supervising projects.
  • Develop schedules with resource milestones and budget goals for team/project.
  • Develop, maintain and modify equipment maintenance and mobilization plans.
  • Provide performance feedback to management for personnel assigned to project.
  • Maintain Resource Lead responsibilities, and perform duties of shift supervisor as required.
  • Exercise and promote team-building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers and other departments.
  • Act as on the job trainer when required, following Westinghouse training procedures. Must also be able to develop training plans and document training as appropriate.
  • Schedule workflows and coordinate with other groups for resources and workspaces.
