This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The technician will wear proper personal protective equipment and attend and successfully complete required technician training classes. A high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry is maintained. The technician will maintain a necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications. This includes performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair with lower-level troubleshooting. The role requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods of work, work areas, and safety standards. Field service trucks, as applicable, will be maintained in proper condition by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housekeeping, and performing other general maintenance duties. Components will be inspected to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs. Required documentation will be completed utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment and account for repair times. Job expenses will be monitored versus repair estimates, ensuring the supervisor is aware of any cost overruns prior to job completion. The technician will approach work in a positive manner, maintain conduct supportive of the work team, and set the standard for others to follow. Contributions to team efforts will be made by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Other duties as assigned.
