This position requires daily travel to locations in and around the Nashvill Metro area, including the airport. The role involves troubleshooting, servicing, installing, and repairing Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray, and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites. The technician will maintain field service logs and filing systems, demonstrate initiative and dedication, conduct follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction, and foster positive customer relations. Responsibilities include meeting daily service repair needs, installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, providing customer training, responding to emergency calls, completing scheduled maintenance, ordering and managing repair parts, maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and tools, and staying current on technical certifications. The role also involves reviewing logs, preparing formal reports, participating in Service Sales opportunities, promoting revenue programs, seeking knowledge from senior technicians, ensuring tools and test equipment are maintained and calibrated, assessing product performance, and providing technical support. Participation in site surveys, pilot programs, meetings, special projects, and preparing exclusive reports may also be required. The technician must possess a solid level of technical knowledge on the company’s Trace and X-Ray technologies, maintain clear and concise business communication proficiency, and establish strong relationships with senior technicians and Product Managers. The role emphasizes controlling costs and maximizing revenue, submitting administrative tasks on time, and complying with health, safety, environmental, and U.S. export control regulations. Travel, overtime, and work outside of Monday-Friday may be required.
