About The Position

As a Field Service Technician II you will provide reactor services field services at remote operating nuclear power plants and service center operations, utilizing high technology service equipment in a manner reflecting Westinghouse's commitment to the highest level of quality. This position requires extensive travel (50-70%), maintenance of "Unescorted Access" status, and working with hazardous materials. You will report to the BWR Resource Manager and be located at our Chattanooga site when not traveling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent
  • Five (5) years of related experience
  • Training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical curriculum

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot reactor services field service equipment at customer sites, using cleaning processes, non-destructive examination (NDE) technology, robotic systems, and computer networks.
  • Perform Service Center support functions including service equipment maintenance and check out, equipment and facility decontamination, equipment packing and unpacking, shipment preparations, material handling, and calibration activities.
  • Perform detailed review of operational and maintenance procedures/drawings. Provide input for procedural revision.
  • Provide support to product engineering and training by performing activities such as equipment modifications, equipment setup and testing, mock-up preparation, process testing, and equipment and process qualifications.
  • Document equipment performance issues during field implementation and ensure corrective actions are complete before next scheduled use.
  • Perform all assigned tasks with minimal supervision, a high degree of quality and within the parameters of qualified procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in performance-based training programs to acquire and maintain certifications and keep current with technology and procedures.
  • Contribute to training program development and instruction.
  • Oversee assigned projects and small teams with predetermined goals. Assume resource lead responsibilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and instructions to co-workers and other personnel.
