About The Position

The Field Service Technician II is responsible for safe, high-quality field work in field services, including executing work orders, maintaining assets, and delivering responsive customer service. This role involves working independently on routine tasks while seeking guidance for complex issues, and maintaining professional communication with customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years relevant field experience in Field Services operations within water/wastewater/public works.
  • Strong safety mindset (confined space, trenching/MOT, PPE).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Proficiency with CMMS/mobile work order systems.
  • Ability to perform accurate documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete service orders (turn-on/off, rereads, meter tests) within SLAs and document results.
  • Investigate high/low usage, no-reads, and tamper alarms, escalating anomalies as needed.
  • Perform utility locates/mark-outs and customer appointments professionally.
  • Utilize mobile apps/handhelds for work orders and inventory management.
  • Maintain vehicle and tools.
  • Support emergency response and after-hours rotations as assigned.
  • Work independently on routine tasks and request guidance on complex issues.
  • Provide courteous customer and stakeholder communications at job sites.
