About The Position

This role is responsible for performing functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer-owned medical products. This involves cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products. The position also requires operating a fleet vehicle safely, direct customer contact, and providing 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. The Field Service Technician II will perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products, troubleshoot devices and repair any malfunctioning components, and use appropriate tools for adjustments and repairs. This role also involves generating service revenue and completing activities required under service contracts.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license and driving record
  • Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Must wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer-owned medical products.
  • Clean, disinfect, perform operational function checks, and make minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products.
  • Operate a fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
  • Provide direct customer contact.
  • Provide 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts.
  • Perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
  • Troubleshoot devices and repair any malfunctioning components.
  • Use the appropriate tools in making required adjustments and repairs.
  • Provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits.
  • Load, unload, and remove medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds.
  • Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contract.
  • Safely operate box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck.
