Requirements

  • Associate degree, college diploma, or undergraduate degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Robotics Engineering.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining electronic, electro-mechanical, or refrigeration instruments.
  • Proven technical aptitude and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality service in field environments.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior roles in regulated laboratory environments, medical device servicing, or hospital-based technical support provide strong foundational skills.
  • Experience as a Biomedical Engineer is considered a significant asset due to the overlap in technical expertise and customer-facing service delivery.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical service including installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic, and refrigeration instruments.
  • Ensure operational compliance and communication by documenting service activities per Health Canada, FDA, and Leica policies, and maintaining timely communication with internal teams and external customers to meet expectations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and continuous development by expanding product and application knowledge, representing the company with integrity, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
