This position requires daily travel to locations in and around the Seattle, Washington, SEA airport and surrounding area. The Field Service Technician II is responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment in the field, providing customer training as required, and documenting all inspections, maintenance, and repair work. The technician will also order, install, and return parts, manage repair parts cycle time, and review logs for open issues, preparing formal reports to customers as necessary. Participation in Service Sales opportunities and promotion of revenue programs is expected. The role requires ensuring tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated, assessing product/equipment performance, and recommending modifications or improvements. Providing technical support to customers and other service professionals, and potentially participating in site surveys and pilot program service activities are also key aspects of the position. The technician must possess basic technical knowledge of the company’s Trace and X-Ray technologies, maintain clear and concise business communication, and establish strong relationships with senior FSE’s and Product Managers. Cost control and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and export control regulations are also essential.
