The Field Service Technician II - Utilities is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role involves attending and completing required technician training, maintaining a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. The technician will diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The position requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, seeking improvements in work methods, work area, and safety standards, and inspecting components to maximize parts reuse for cost control. Documentation of repairs performed and accounting for repair times using appropriate software is essential. The role also involves monitoring job expenses against repair estimates, communicating any cost overruns to the supervisor, and approaching work with a positive attitude that supports the team. Training and mentoring of others may also be required, along with performing other assigned duties.
