The Field Service Technician II - Power Generator is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires wearing proper personal protective equipment, attending and completing required technician training, and maintaining a necessary set of tools for job performance. The technician will diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications, performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The position involves working in a neat and orderly fashion, seeking improvements in work methods, work areas, and safety standards, and inspecting components to maximize parts reuse for cost control. Documentation of repairs performed and accounting for repair times using appropriate software is essential. The technician must monitor job expenses against repair estimates and inform the supervisor of any cost overruns prior to job completion. A positive approach, supportive conduct, and contribution to team efforts are expected, along with training and mentoring of others. The role also includes performing other assigned duties.
