The Field Service Technician II - Air Compressor is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment. This role involves attending and successfully completing required technician training classes, maintaining a necessary set of tools for job performance, and diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. The technician will diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The position requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods of work, work areas, and safety standards. The technician will inspect components to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs, complete required documentation using appropriate software to document repairs performed and account for repair times, and monitor job expenses versus repair estimates, informing the supervisor of any cost overruns prior to job completion. A positive approach to work, supportive conduct towards the team, and setting standards for others are expected. The role contributes to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations, and may involve training and/or mentoring others in the department. Other duties as assigned.
