This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment. The technician will attend and successfully complete required training classes, maintain a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. Responsibilities include diagnosing and performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The role requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods, work areas, and safety standards. The technician will inspect components to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs and complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times. Monitoring job expenses versus repair estimates and informing the supervisor of any cost overruns before job completion is also crucial. The position demands approaching work positively, maintaining supportive conduct, and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Training and mentoring others in the department, and temporarily assuming the supervisor's position as necessary, are also part of the role. Other duties as assigned will be performed.
