This position requires daily travel to locations in and around the Norfolk, VA area. The role is responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction. The technician will install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field, provide customer training as required, and document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work. This includes ordering, installing, and returning parts, managing repair parts cycle time, and reviewing logs for open issues to prepare formal reports to customers. The role also participates in Service Sales opportunities, promotes revenue programs, and ensures tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated. The technician will assess product/equipment performance, recommend modifications, and provide technical support to customers and other service professionals. Participation in site surveys and pilot program service activities may also be required. The position requires basic technical knowledge of the company’s Trace and X-Ray technologies, clear and concise business communication, and establishing strong relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers. Cost control and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and export control regulations are essential. Travel, overtime, and work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required.
