About The Position

This role performs functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer-owned medical products. This involves cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products. The position requires operating a fleet vehicle safely and involves direct customer contact. Additionally, it provides 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. The Field Service Technician I will perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products, troubleshoot devices, and repair malfunctioning components using appropriate tools. This role may require on-call coverage up to a 24/7 basis, including weekends and holidays, and may necessitate customer account visits. It also involves loading, unloading, and removing medical products, potentially weighing up to 1680 pounds, and generating service revenue while completing activities required under service contracts. The role requires safely operating a box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000-pound truck.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license and driving record
  • Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Must wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing.

Responsibilities
