This position requires daily travel to Gerald R. Ford International Airport. The Field Service Technician I is responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction. They will install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field, provide customer training, and document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work. This role also involves ordering, installing, and returning parts, managing repair parts cycle time, and reviewing logs for open issues to prepare formal reports to customers. The technician will participate in Service Sales opportunities, assist with promoting revenue programs, and ensure tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated. They will assess product/equipment performance, recommend modifications, and provide technical support to customers and other service professionals. Participation in site surveys and pilot program service activities may also be required. The role demands basic technical knowledge of the company’s Trace and X-Ray technologies, clear and concise business communication, and establishing strong relationships with senior level FSEs and Product Managers. Cost control and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security regulations are also key aspects of this position. Travel, overtime, and work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required.
