This position requires daily travel to locations in and around the Omaha airport and surrounding area. The Field Service Technician I is responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction. They will install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field, provide customer training as required, and document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work. This role involves ordering, installing, and returning parts, managing repair parts cycle time, and reviewing logs for open issues. The technician will also prepare formal reports to customers, participate in Service Sales opportunities, and assist with promoting revenue programs. Ensuring tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated is crucial, as is assessing product/equipment performance and recommending modifications. Providing technical support to customers and other service professionals, and potentially participating in site surveys and pilot program service activities, are also key duties. The role requires basic technical knowledge of the company’s Trace and X-Ray technologies, clear and concise business communication, and establishing strong relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers. Cost control and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and export control regulations are essential. Travel, overtime, and work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required.
