This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The technician will wear proper personal protective equipment, attend and complete required training, and maintain a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. Responsibilities include diagnosing and performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The technician will work in a neat and orderly fashion, continuously seeking improvements in work methods, the work area, and safety standards. They will inspect components to maximize parts reuse for cost control, complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for time, and monitor job expenses against repair estimates, informing the supervisor of any cost overruns. A positive approach to work, supportive conduct towards the team, and setting standards for others are expected. Contribution to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations is key. The role may also involve training and mentoring others, and temporarily assuming supervisory duties as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.
