This position requires daily travel to locations in and around the Minneapolis - St. Paul area, including the airport. The Field Service Technician I is responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment in the field, providing customer training as required, and documenting all inspections, maintenance, and repair work. The technician will also manage parts orders, installations, returns, and repair parts cycle time, review logs for open issues, and prepare formal reports to customers. Participation in Service Sales opportunities and assisting with revenue programs is also expected. The role requires ensuring tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated, assessing product/equipment performance, and recommending modifications or improvements. Providing technical support to customers and other service professionals, and potentially participating in site surveys and pilot program service activities are part of the job. The technician must possess basic technical knowledge of the company’s Trace and X-Ray technologies, maintain clear and concise business communication, and establish strong relationships with senior FSE’s and Product Managers. Cost control and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security regulations are also key aspects of this role. Travel, overtime, and work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required.
