About The Position

Cardinal Equipment Services is looking for a Field Service Technician I, Install based out of our Sarasota/ Bradenton, FL location. We’re currently looking for 8:30AM to 5:30PM, working Monday through Friday with flexibility based on business needs. The Field Service Technician , Install I will provide support to the Cardinal Equipment Service Department performing essential mechanical duties and department functions. This role will be responsible for a wide variety of assignments associated with – but not limited to beverage equipment installation, removal, repair, and relocation. Additional responsibilities include parts and equipment accountability, resource management, customer relations, job site surveys and working closely with customers and co-workers. This position will require flexibility to work various schedules and travel with overnight lodging likely. Travel will include domestic and international as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Repair equipment using the needed tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Use of basic hand tools, electric and battery drills, and saws.
  • Ability to use a lift cart and ladder.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Soft drink and draught beer mechanical service experience preferred.
  • Basic plumbing and electrical experience preferred.
  • Ice Maker experience.
  • Valid Drivers’ license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
  • Valid Passport.
  • Follow all Company Safety Rules.
  • Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Beverage Equipment Installation, Removal, Modification, Move and Repair.
  • Parts and Equipment Accountability.
  • Maintain positive customer and co-worker relationships.
  • Record and account for billable time, parts and services related to work assignments.
  • Position requires flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and travel as required to include multiple days/nights.
  • Book and schedule travel arrangement as required. Complete expense reports per guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company/DOT vehicle policies. Smith-System, Geotab, Lytx (Dashcams), etc.
  • Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and safety requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
