This role involves conducting assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The technician will wear proper personal protective equipment, attend and complete required training, and maintain a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. Responsibilities include diagnosing and performing repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The technician will work in a neat and orderly fashion, seeking improvements in work methods, work areas, and safety standards. They will inspect components to maximize parts reuse for cost control and complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for time. Monitoring job expenses against repair estimates and communicating any potential cost overruns to the supervisor are also key duties. The role requires approaching work positively, maintaining supportive conduct, and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while meeting safety and quality expectations. Additionally, the technician may train or mentor others, and temporarily assume supervisory duties as necessary. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.
