About The Position

The Field Service Technician I will be responsible for providing technical maintenance, repair, and support services on equipment and systems at customer locations. This role requires a keen understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, along with the ability to work collaboratively with customers to ensure optimal performance of our products. The technician will be tasked with installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading our products, while maintaining detailed records of all field activities. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 0-1 years of experience as a technician or in a related field.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques.
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
  • Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
  • Exposure to technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/90 rotation
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.

  • Ability to obtain a current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment.
  • Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment.
  • Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted.
  • If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
  • Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience with FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License (General Radio Operator License (GROL).).
  • Prior experience with Security+, Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+.
  • Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and/or Pitot Static equipment gauges.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Familiarity with software and firmware updates for technical equipment.
  • Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on aerospace and defense equipment and systems.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment at customer sites.
  • Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Provide on-site training and support to customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status updates.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to report and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing all tasks.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to supervisors and project managers.
  • Travel to various customer locations as required.
