About The Position

Levitt-Safety is seeking a Fire Services Technician to join their team in Moncton. The company, a trusted safety partner since 1935, focuses on ensuring people return home safely. This role is suitable for individuals with hands-on, mechanical aptitude, even without prior fire protection experience, as paid training, certifications, and mentoring are provided. The position involves inspecting and servicing fire extinguishers and vehicle fire suppression systems, performing service work both in-shop and at customer sites, supporting customers with inspections and basic training, maintaining a service vehicle and equipment, and collaborating with the service team on scheduling and inventory. Occasional after-hours calls may be required. The company notes that many successful technicians come from backgrounds in automotive or truck service, heavy equipment or small engines, industrial maintenance, or emergency services.

Requirements

  • Mechanical or hands-on experience (automotive, equipment, shop work, etc.)
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Basic electrical knowledge is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
  • Strong work ethic and customer-focused attitude
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work at heights or in tight spaces
  • Meet standard background, drug and safety clearances for safety-critical environments

Responsibilities
