Launch your field service career with Hitachi Energy and help support the transformer technology that keeps the power grid reliable. As a Field Service Technician within our growing US Services HUB, you’ll gain hands-on experience working in electrical substations across the country. Alongside experienced senior technicians, you’ll learn how to inspect, maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair transformer equipment while developing valuable technical expertise in areas such as vacuum oil processing, equipment diagnostics, and transformer testing. This is more than an entry point into Field Service. It’s an opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals, take on new technical challenges, and build the skills needed for long-term career growth. With up to 85% nationwide travel, you’ll experience a variety of customer sites, equipment, and field environments while developing confidence and independence. Military experience is valued here. Veterans, transitioning service members, and candidates with military technical backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Experience with electrical systems, power generation, mechanical maintenance, equipment repair, or similar military occupations can provide a strong foundation for success. The discipline, teamwork, problem-solving, and commitment to safety developed through military service are highly transferable to our Field Service environment. If you enjoy hands-on work, learning new technology, traveling, and solving real-world challenges, this could be the start of an exciting career with Hitachi Energy.
