Your core focus as Field Service Technician will be to provide on-site technical support and maintenance for black and white, color, and multifunctional printers, copiers, and other devices at customer locations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and comfortable with frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Must be comfortable in learning new skills
  • Much have good communications skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments and follow directions
  • A valid driver's license and auto insurance coverage per Toshiba policy for positions entailing use of personal car while on company business

Responsibilities

  • Work closely under the guidance of Technical Field Service Department Management shadow a TBS Field Service Technician while learning to service and repair office equipment (B & W, Color and Multifunctional devices), ID Badge and fingerprint systems/equipment.
  • While on the job, learn to diagnose, install, remove, modify, clean, retrofit equipment and how to coordinate with dispatch.
  • Learn about departmental processes and procedures along with corresponding controls.
  • Successfully complete all assigned service training (classroom and webinars) as required by TBS Management. Complete basic dealer and manufacturer training on specified systems as required.
  • Learn and become proficient in maintaining car inventory, tools, and test equipment to ensure they are in service-ready condition.
  • Under FS Tech guidance, learn and practice PM procedures and repair techniques to build proficiency for field assignments.
  • Learn and become proficient in accurately completing company documents according to service practices using automated systems and/or established reports.
  • Conduct job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner according to TABS safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulations, program standards, and specific safety concerns identified by TABS for use in specific areas or with clients/customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
