About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid downtime. The role involves working on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations. The fleet primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. This position offers opportunities to develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management within an incredible team in a safety-focused environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations.
Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
Experience with Aerial Work Platforms.
Experience with general construction tools and equipment.
Experience with large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.
